THE STORY - After her elderly grandmother is placed in a nursing home, fifteen-year-old loner CJ is sent to live with her reclusive and mysterious Uncle Allen, a man whose house is like a time warp back to the 1970s and who is emphatically uninterested in befriending his new niece. CJ's curiosity about her Uncle Allen, who works as a night janitor at her new high school, grows when she discovers a secret portal through the mirror in the girls’ bathroom that transports her back in time to 1978. Through the mirror, CJ discovers her sixteen-year-old Uncle Allen and his wild and rambunctious brother Henry, who just so happens to be CJ's long-lost father. Loosely inspired by Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, STRANGE TALES FROM THE BATHROOM MIRROR follows CJ's explorations into the world of her family's past as she searches for answers and a place to finally call her home.
